There are several undertakings operating in the plastic film production in Hungary. Still, only a couple of manufacturers are active in technology development and machinery production. One of them is dr-PLAST Joint-stock Company with one of its activities of blown polyethylene film production and confectioning. The company's engineers in their research and development activities have focused on reducing the deficiencies and defects of the extensively used blown-type film manufacturing method of present days. Many inventions have been completed in the field of blown film production recently which were utilized in a production line that is suitable for the production of a new generation of plastic films.
